The City of Milan wins the Sustainable Cities Cresco Award 2018


The Sustainable Cities CRESCO award recognizes the commitment of Italian municipalities to promote sustainable development. It is promoted by Fondazione Sodalitas, the leading Italian organization on business sustainability, and ANCI and a partnership of companies active in the field of sustainability.

Municipalities, metropolitan cities and mountain communities can candidate projects, already implemented or in an advanced stage of implementation, concerning topics such as social inclusion, circular and sharing economy, energy efficiency and sustainable waste management, sustainable mobility, health prevention and protection, reduction of food waste or territorial welfare. Another important aspect of the Award is the involvement of companies that can help each administration to develop particular initiatives and thus improve the quality of services offered to citizens.
