Sharing and growing – 11 new cities!

Did you think Sharing Cities was just for the benefit of our six partner cities? Think again: Our mission is to bring these results to as many cities as possible. Now 11 more cities are joining our knowledge exchange programme:

  • Debrecen (Hungary)
  • Kharkiv (Ukraine)
  • Smart Cities Scotland (Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, Perth, & Stirling)
  • Vila Nova de Famalicão (Portugal)
  • Wuppertal (Germany)

We will be working hard with these cities to help them replicate the successful smart energy and mobility measures that are already delivering energy savings and a higher quality of life in our lighthouse and fellow cities. This includes knowledge exchange and peer-learning visits, and will result in new or improved smart city action plans that will make Sharing Cities solutions a reality beyond the initial scope of our project.

These cities will also help us bring our solutions to your city by sharing their thoughts on booklets with the most essential information for getting started or moving forward on smart lampposts, electric mobility, building retrofit and much more. By demonstrating the scale-up potential of our solutions implemented in Bordeaux, Burgas, Greenwich, Lisbon, Milan and Warsaw, we also bring your city one step closer.
