Lighthouse projects with Bulgarian cities join forces for replication

A two day replication workshop in Sofia, Bulgaria has been co-organised between Smarter Together and Sharing Cities.

The meeting was held on 11 and 12 July with lighthouse cities of Vienna, Santiago de Compotella, Venice and four Bulgarian cities.
SmartEnCity, MySMARTLife, Sharing Cities and Smarter Together are the four lighthouse projects with Bulgarian follower cities.

The first day gave a chance to politicians and experts from the cities, including the four Bulgarian cities, Asenovgrad, Burgas, Sofia and Varna to discuss replication and focus on their needs. At the workshop cities got deep insights to each others' works and plans for electric mobility, building retrofitting and participated in a study tour.

On the second day Bernadett Degrendele (Sharing Cities) and Francisco Gonçalves (Smarter Together) co-facilitated a workshop where the cities helped each other to work on action plan for successful citizen engagement.

The draft minutes of the meeting are available at the end of the article.
