Webinar on active involvement of citizens for energy saving

17/01/2019 - 17/01/2019 (Online)

The Sharing Cities programme hosted a webinar on the Digital Social Market (DSM) in Lisbon, an online engagement platform, on Thursday 17 January 2019, 15:00-16:00 (CET, Brussels time).

The DSM has been developed on the basis of research conducted by the Sharing Cities team on how cities can best cooperate with people to encourage energy saving. The first pilot has been implemented in Lisbon (more information here). The objective of the digital platform is to simultaneously improve education, the local economy and the environment by rewarding people for making more sustainable choices and actions. By providing the right motivation, and the right mechanism, the DSM helps even the busiest people make the contribution that we all want to make to our communities and to the environment.

This webinar presented in more details how the DSM has been set up, the objectives and advantages of the DSM and responded to some questions  related to this digital platform.

The speakers for this webinar included :

- Francesco Marchet, Future Cities Catapult

- Tom White, Future Cities Catapult

- Catarina Rolim, Technical university of Lisbon

- Telma Mota, Altice Labs

- Diana Henriques, Lisboa E-Nova
