On 23 February, EUROCITIES will organise a webinar on "free flow of non-personal data in Europe" starting at 11.30 CET (Brussels time).
The Commission has proposed a regulation aimed at removing obstacles to the free flow of non-personal data in the European Union. Together with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), this regulation aims at ensuring a full and clear approach to the free movement of data in the EU. Local authorities will be affected by this regulation.
The webinar will give to EUROCITIES members the opportunity to learn about the content of the proposal and the specific implication for local authorities. The webinar is also meant to collect feedback, comments, bottlenecks and challenges faced by cities in data managing, storing, processing as well as on data portability.
While participation is free for all interested EUROCITIES members, the participation of data officers of local public authorities, those dealing with data management, storage or processing, is particularly encouraged. Do not hesitate to forward the invitation to your colleagues that might be interested in the webinar.
