The Materials, Technologies and People of Smart Cities at Milan Design Week

Milan, a Sharing Cities lighthouse city, will be hosting the Milan Design Week , April 17 – 22, the most awaited international event for professionals within the sector attracting more than 300,000 visitors form over 165 foreign countries and 5,000 journalists from all over the world. At the same time a lot of events, installations and exibitions will animate the town through Fuorisalone.

Sharing Cities will take part to one of this events: the exhibition ‘Smart City: Materials, Technologies & People’ designed and organized by Material ConneXion Italia. Ideal follow-up of 2017 “New Materials for A Smart City”, the exhibition is located in Via Tortona at Superstudio Più and offers an overview from a materials perspective, on the new frontiers of innovation in advanced technologies for urban planning and the building of a smart city. It also introduces material solutions and technologies in different fields like

  • Advanced Building and Infrastructures;
  • Sustainable and Circular City;
  • Smart Living, Smart People;
  • Connected City;
  • Integrated Mobility;
  • Food Policies and Urban Agriculture.
