On 24 May, Ankara will host the 2nd International Smart Cities Conference dedicated to the theme of ‘Smart Cities: 360’. The event is part of the Public Technology Days series, which is in its fourth year and which focused on smart cities in its previous two editions.
Organised jointly by the Turkish ministry of development, the ministry of transportation, maritime affairs and communication, and the ministry of environment and urban planning, the event will explore the concept and reality of creating smart cities, focusing on topics such as energy, transportation, agriculture, health, big data, smart buildings and automation, smart life technologies, and social innovation.
The Sharing Cities project will also be featured: Piero Pelizzaro, on behalf of ‘lighthouse’ city Milan, and Marcin Wróblewski, representing ‘fellow’ city Warsaw, will hold a joint presentation on their cities’ respective plans and on how they work together to reach a common goal.
Over a thousand top-level representatives of 54 municipalities, public organisations, governorships and development agencies have already registered for this conference.
