Knowledge society forum winter meeting Role of digital in shaping future cities

24/01/2018 - 25/01/2018 (Brussels)

Our knowledge society forum (KSF) will hold its winter meeting on 24-25 January 2017 in Brussels.

The first day’s session will be dedicated to the implementation of the forum’s new strategy. The aim is to define concrete actions to be pursued in the coming years by identifying the links between KSF’s priorities and those of the EU. Working groups will also prepare the ground for the second day’s activities.

On 25 January, our KSF and the Green Digital Charter (GDC) initiative will jointly organise a conference entitled 'Cities in transition - The role of digital in shaping our future cities'. The new Urban Agenda partnership on digital transition is also scheduled to be launched in January 2017. MEPs, European Commission officials, and representatives of cities will discuss the goals of this new partnership, taking into account the EU’s digital policies and related activities. The second day will conclude with technical workshops dedicated to topics of interest for members.

The conference is open to all interested parties. However, places are limited, so please register here.
