EIP-SCC 2017 General Assembly in Brussels

12/10/2017 - 12/10/2017 (Mont des Arts, B-1000 Brussels)

The European Innovation Partnership on Smart Cities and Communities (EIP-SCC) General Assembly will take place on 12 October at Square Brussels Meeting Centre.
This event will contribute to paving the way to an EU Investment Plan, joining public and private investors efforts to deploy SCC-related solutions throughout EU cities and stimulate EU utilities, manufacturers and implementers. The main objectives of the meeting will be:
• ‘Pull’ the EU market forward
• Match-making & Networking amongst supply/demand/investor communities
• Show a clear and realistic path forward, involving resources within the EIP non-funded model

During the day, European officials, civic leaders, city representatives, investors, industry, entrepreneurs will have opportunity to explore progress, make plans, and exchange views with their peers to give added-value to their national and local actions; and also identify gaps that need to be fulfilled at European level to develop new solutions in the Smart City environment.
Among others, the day will include sessions looking at the European Commission’s investment stimulus to SCC projects, and industry and actors’ view on investing in the cities of the future.

Sharing Cities, as one of the Smart City Lighthouse projects, will be represented during the event and will participate actively to foster the collaboration with all relevant stakeholders to scale-up the implementation of Smart City solutions.
